LA -3 (1st Quarter)*
Tulsa is 0-9 ATS in first quarter road games. Tiffany Jackson played well in the last game at San Antonio, scoring 27 points with 10 rebounds. Pederson played well too but Ivory Latta and Amber Holt struggled. Tulsa only shoots 38.6% from the field while allowing 48.7% on defense. They shoot just 27.5% from the 3-point line while allowing close to 40%.
Tulsa led LA at home this year by 23-21 and led at LA by 16-13 last year. LA is without Candace Parker to an injury but they do have some veterans (Thompson, Tolliver, Milton-Jones, Hoffman, Quinn and Tisha Pinichiero. Tisha is more of a passer but did score 16 points in their last game vs. Minnesota. The LA Sparks go from one of the best teams in the WNBA (Minn Lynx) to the worst (Tulsa).
This is LA's chance to win big and jump ahead quickly. LA did lead Conn. by 18-14 and Washington 27-13 at home in recent games but were down 29-17 to SA.
This will be a small play for me as I hoped to get LA closer to -2 or -2.5.
Win or lose, I will look Tulsa at Seattle on Thursday night. Seattle just lost badly at Seattle and play at New York Tuesday before their home game with Tulsa.
Hopefully, Tisha P. will play well in the opening quarter and jump out to a nice lead early on Tuesday night!
